Mallya is in "forced exile"

London, April 29 : Businessman Vijay Mallya, at the centre of an issue in India over alleged loan default of Rs.9,000 crore, has termed the costs against him as “preposterous” and added he was in “forced exile” here from that he would really like to come back to his country.


“I’m fully innocent  of any of the absurd charges of entertaining funds from kingfisher Airlines and shopping for properties,” Mallya added in an interview to the Financial Times. “I’m in a very forced exile, willing to achieve affordable debt settlement.”


Vijay MallyaQuestioning the number of Rs.9,000 crore attributed as wilfull debt against him, the 60-year-old businessman cleared by removing his passport or stunning him, the Indian government and banks will not be able to get any cash out of him.


“I undoubtedly would really like to come back to India. Without delay things are flying at me quick and furious. My passport’s been revoked. i do not grasp what the govt can do next. I’ve continuously added i’ll wish to reach intent on the bankers of kingfisher and build a settlement,” he said.


“Notwithstanding the legal proceedings, my offer for settlement stands. The filings before the debt recovery judicature indicate some five hundred million pounds. They remainder is toward unapplied interest. I’ve never been able to perceive wherever this Rs.900 million figure came from,” he said.


He cleared he has issued a sworn legal document to the Supreme Court and therefore the right position can come back to lightweight if a correct probe is conducted. “If the govt decides to audit the accounts of kingfisher airlines, they’re not reaching to notice something — as a result of that’s the reality.”


Mallya explained “extraordinary pressure” was being exerted on him, however he cannot provide preference simply to banks since there have been alternative creditors further.


“All I will say is that the style during which my passport was revoked then suspended was new and was worn out extraordinary haste. I came to understand of the facts by email,” he said, adding the notice of suspension of his passport came on vacation which his reply was unnoticed.
